THE MAN WHO ALMOST SAVED THE REPUBLIC
CT-27-5555, known to his brothers as Fives, was one of the most decorated and determined clone troopers ever to serve in the Grand Army of the Republic. Born on Kamino alongside the members of Domino Squad, Fives demonstrated from the beginning that he was more than just a number — he was a soldier with heart, conviction, and an unbreakable loyalty to his brothers.
His battlefield valor earned him the distinction of ARC Trooper, one of the Republic's most elite designations. He fought through Geonosis, the Citadel, Umbara, and Kamino, surviving engagements that claimed the lives of soldiers around him. Each loss — especially that of his closest brother, Echo, who he believed dead at the Citadel — only hardened his resolve.
But Fives' greatest act of courage had nothing to do with a blaster. After fellow clone Tup inexplicably executed a Jedi General, Fives began investigating. What he uncovered would have changed the fate of the galaxy: a secret inhibitor chip implanted in every clone's brain at birth, engineered by the Sith to force the clones to eliminate the Jedi on command. Fives traced the conspiracy all the way to Chancellor Palpatine himself — Darth Sidious.
He was framed, hunted, and cornered. In a desperate attempt to warn Captain Rex and the Jedi, Fives was shot by a clone trooper — and died whispering the truth that no one was ready to hear. Just months later, Order 66 was executed exactly as he had warned. He came within a single conversation of preventing one of the darkest events in galactic history.
His sacrifice was not in vain. The memory of Fives lived on in Rex, who later removed his own chip — a direct result of what Fives died trying to prove.
"The mission — the war — everything I've been fighting for... it all leads to this. The truth had to come out."
THE 501ST BROTHERHOOD
BROTHERS IN ARMS
These were Fives' people — the soldiers he bled beside on a hundred worlds. Echo was his brother from Domino Squad, the friend he mourned and the one who survived to carry their legacy forward. Jesse was a loyal fighter who embodied the 501st spirit to his last breath. And though not pictured, Captain Rex may have been the most important person in Fives' final moments — it was Rex who held him as he died, Rex who heard his last words, and Rex who eventually removed his own inhibitor chip because of what Fives sacrificed everything to prove.
